User-specific special soils and standardized high-performance fertilizers from phosphate-containing residues.
abonocare offers and develops economical, ecological, flexible and simple processes for the production of fertilizer granules and special soil mixtures from phosphorus-containing secondary raw materials in combination with other nutrient components.
With technological solutions, abonocare makes previously lost nutrients usable, thus conserving the environment and valuable raw material resources.
In this way, abonocare opens up new possibilities for special soil preparation for sustainable raw material utilization. Based on different municipal and agricultural organic residues, user-specific special soils and soil additives are created with precisely adjusted soil physical and chemical properties as well as a nutrient composition adapted to the requirements. Through better control of the composting process and specifically adjusted composting techniques and mixtures, our process results in significantly improved product properties with consistent, high quality.
Using a fundamentally new technological approach based on fluidized bed technology, abonocare converts phosphate-containing sewage sludge ash into high-quality fertilizer granules, thus solving the technical problems of such processes that have existed up to now. In a first step, the largely insoluble phosphate from incineration ashes is converted into an excellently plant-available form by acid digestion. Through the possible addition of further nutrient components, we specifically adjust the nutrient composition required by the farmer, while also compensating for the typical fluctuation range of the incineration ashes for a uniform product quality. The produced and standardized fertilizer granules correspond to conventional mineral fertilizers currently used in agriculture and may replace them in the future.
Project goals
- Utilization concepts for phosphate-containing residual materials.
- Processes and technologies for the production of special soils and fertilizers from phosphate-containing residues
- Utilization and production capacities
- Standardized and customized special soils, soil additives and high-performance fertilizers
- Research and development competence in the field of nutrient recovery
In joint project 4, Glatt is developing formulations for suspensions with an increased solids content and is working on technological solutions that can be used to make circulation processes more efficient.
